As we all know quite well since the first day of business school: You can’t reach your full potential unless you challenge yourself! After some of my recent blog posts were about traveling comfortably and mastering lean packing for business trips (that should basically fit into any hand-luggage trolley, because yes, time is money and who doesn’t get upset if ones luggage gets lost on a business trip…) it’s time to take on a new challenge and only travel with 10 items this time.
So, what is the 10 x 10 Challenge?
The 10 x 10 Challenge™ is an exercise that was established in 2015 by the Canadian Blogger Stylebee. The concept is essentially a microcapsule closet of 10 items that you work with for 10 days, trying new looks and styling your clothes in ways you might not otherwise try.
- PICK ANY 10 ITEMS FROM YOUR CURRENT CLOSET
- STYLE THOSE ITEMS INTO 10 DIFFERENT LOOKS
- USE 10 DAYS TO DO IT (Excluding Weekends!)
- ANY ACCESSORIES OR JEWELRY YOU ADD TO A LOOK DOES NOT COUNT AS A PART OF YOUR 10 ITEMS.
Stylebee’s credo is clear: Do whatever makes it feel manageable but still be sure to challenge yourself!
Ok, got it.
Truthfully speaking, those of you who know me will most possible raise an eyebrow right now and will think of that challenge to be something very quite challenging for me, but choosing 10 items wasn’t that hard in the end. My rule of thumb: Going for the classics is never a fail.
